Exploring Life Through Rhythm
Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Bhindee is a seasoned musician with over 20 years of experience exploring the rich worlds of rhythm and culture. He blends traditional rhythms with modern influences, creating immersive musical experiences rooted in the belief that sound has the power to unite people and foster deep connection.
His passion for percussion ignited at age 11 when he first encountered the Dhol — the iconic Punjabi folk drum. That moment marked the beginning of a lifelong journey into percussion and its universal language. Over the years he has dedicated himself to preserving and reimagining traditional drum sounds, seamlessly integrating them with global music and contemporary aesthetics.
Bhindee Music brings people together through electrifying performances that fuse the high energy beats of Bhangra with influences from around the world. His music goes beyond entertainment — creating moments of connection, joy and self-discovery with every beat.
Beyond the stage, Bhindee is an educator and community builder. He teaches Dhol, runs handpan concerts, djembe workshops and drum circles, always using rhythm as a way to bring people back to themselves and to each other. His philosophy: “It’s not just about how well you play, but the spirit, joy and intention you bring to your art.”
He has performed and taught across the globe, connecting with communities and cultures that have shaped the way he understands music, people and sound. That dedication has been recognised with multiple international awards across Malaysia, the United Kingdom and Austria.
Trained in drumming for mental health, Bhindee creates spaces where the drum becomes more than an instrument. Where music becomes meditation, movement becomes expression, and rhythm becomes something you feel rather than just hear.
